As first time dog owners, we searched for a rescue who would help us find the perfect dog for
our family's needs and lifestyle.

needed to feel at ease to adopt a dog from another country. They found the perfect new
addition to our home and matched us with the most wonderful, gentle and loving soul, Tigrillo.
Ele Lomitos not only sent us a wonderful pup with all the necessary paperwork and up to date
on his vaccines. They also made sure our dog was adapting well to his new life. The rescue was
always available to help us make the transition as smooth as possible. Bringing a new family
member takes work and commitment and Ele Lomitos reassured us every step of the way.

I had to move to Portugal but of course I was not going to leave my dogs. They do not know

past...meeting Elena, she helped me with the chips, vaccinations, kennel's, documentation, and
process so that my 2 daughters could leave with me without any problem, I never had any problems.

Such a great experience, from the start of the adoption process to when we picked up our little

My boyfriend and I wanted a new dog. We saw Mimi at first:my heart literally cracked! Her
brother Roger was also introduced to us during the Zoom meeting, and then my boyfriend's

A million thank you to Elena and her team for bringing me together with Maximo and Esmé. I
had such a wonderful experience in adopting Maximo that only 2 months later, I was welcoming
Esmé. They knew that these two would be a great pair, they are inseparable ❣️
We could have had Poncho taken away countless times since we adopted him last January, he
is so adorable and friendly! He loves humans (and his cat) and he attracts the attention of
passers-by, which always gives us the chance to talk about Ele Lomitos and Casa Del Mestizo!
After having an interview with Elena and Naomie remotely to tell them about our family and our
environment, we were very well accompanied in the adoption process until that evening of
January 17, 2022 when we went to welcome our new companion at the airport along with 9
other families.
He arrived in perfect health conditions despite an allergic reaction that had already been treated
(with a follow-up done) and fully vaccinated and neutered.
Arrived in Quebec by -30 degrees and after a little more than one year of wandering life, he
adapted very well to his new life in the countryside.
Huge thanks to the whole team and we highly recommend adoption through Ele Lomitos (very
affordable considering the rates in Quebec)
First time we saw a picture of Lenna, it was love at first sight . Her big ears, her tongue 👅
sticking out and the fact she can gain weight easily as she LOVES to eat was the sign she was
our girl. We talked about adopting a dog for so many years , and adopting a resuce dog in need
was out number 1 priority . Providing a safe space filled with tons of love was a must for us.
The team from Elelomitos are the most dedicated team, especially when it comes to the well
being of each 4 legged friend. Lenna didn’t have an easy arrival in Canada, but through the
volunteers' work and their dedication to her well being , she found her home.

Here is Niebla! We adopted her through Ele Lomitos and have no regrets! 😁 Niebla is as they
described her to us. You can trust these people, they have the well-being of our canine friends
in Mexico at heart! They are also there to help us and guide us with the integration of the dog
despite the distance! And what a great experience to pick up your new dog at the airport.
Adopting my beautiful Stella,thanks to Ele Lomitos, was an amazing experience! I was a little worried because I have never adopted anywhere other than Quebec before, but they were able to reassure me and explain everything to me! Everything went really well!
